Delete your Cast Garage account
You can permanently delete your account and associated private data from the app or request deletion by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Cast Garage and sign in.
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Select Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
This is the fastest method because the signed-in session verifies that the account belongs to you.
Request deletion from the web
Email privacy@castgarage.app with the subject Delete my Cast Garage account. Send the request from the email address associated with the account when possible. We may ask for additional verification before deleting it.
Never send your password, authentication token, payment-card details, or scan photos in the request.
What deletion covers
Deleting your account removes or schedules removal of:
- your Cast Garage account and profile;
- Garage, Wishlist, tags, notes, storage locations, and imports;
- scan-result metadata associated with the account; and
- private Garage photos and avatars stored for the account.
Submitted scan-photo bytes are not stored unless you explicitly saved the photos with a Garage item. Minimal security, transaction, deletion, or legal records may be retained where required by law or necessary to prevent fraud or resolve disputes. Restricted backup copies expire through the normal backup cycle.
Subscriptions
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel any active subscription through the store account used to purchase it.
Processing your request
In-app deletion starts immediately. Email requests are processed without undue delay after ownership is verified and within the period required by applicable law. The request cannot be reversed after the account and active-service data have been deleted.
